I was in choir all throughout middle school and during my senior year of high school. I remember in middle school, whenever there was a solo opportunity, I would be all up on that. I just liked chances to shine I guess. Out of those three years of middle school choir, I only landed 2 solos. One in 6th grade and one in 7th grade.
In 8th grade, I did sing this song in front of the class. I’m glad I did because that song helped landed me the director’s award at the end of the year voted by everyone in the class. If I didn’t sing that song, I would have just been another face in the choir. Singing that song made me memorable. I remember after that, people who I never talked to in choir started talking to me. The attention was a little weird but I kinda liked it.
Looking back at it now, that’s the person I am. A person who always tries to be different, be unique, be an individual. Not just another boring face in the crowd. Someone who’s trying to make a name for himself.
It’s just nice to see that I’ve been trying to achieve that at an early age.
Thanks for still sticking around after x amount of months of not seeing each other. I love those out of the blue “hi” messages. I’m bad at those messaging you first because I always feel like an idiot doing it.
It still surprise me how you still manage to keep track of my Facebook updates even though you have well over 1000 friends on there. I would think I would get lost in all that.
So thanks again. Can’t wait to see you again.
